A prosecution for kidnapping must be instituted within the time limited by statute for the commencement of such a criminal proceeding.   Burden of proof is upon the prosecution to show that the person accused is guilty of the offense charged beyond a reasonable doubt.   The prosecution must also prove the particular intent alleged in the applicable criminal statute for kidnapping.  The proper venue for prosecuting a charge of kidnapping with bodily injury is where the victim was seized, even where the bodily injury was inflicted in another county.
