Kidnapping applies to every person who, without lawful authority, forcibly seizes and confines another, or inveigles or kidnaps another, with intent to cause such other person to be secretly confined or imprisoned against his will.
Kidnapping laws varies from state to state. For example, § 13A-6-43(a)(4) (1975) of Alabama Code defines kidnapping in the first degree as abducting another person with intent to inflict physical injury upon him, or to violate or abuse him sexually.
